Suggested approach

Prepare the correct stage
Accept the bones task from Gwennyth near Auberdine’s dock area. This is quest 3524; the same-name follow-up 4681 uses a different sample, so confirm the item requested before swimming offshore.
Follow the named objective
Head along the coast south of town to the beached creature. ForeverDB records the players’ objective-map area at 36.4, 50.9 from three players. Secure enough room around the carcass to interact; killing nearby murlocs is not itself the sample objective.
Confirm credit and hand over
Check that Sea Creature Bones is in your bags and return to Gwennyth. Only then assess the follow-up. A second dead creature or a different sample does not substitute for this stage’s bones.

Planning notes

First Washed Ashore stage: Sea Creature Bones; follow-up 4681 is distinct. Match the stage by its objective and quest ID before combining this trip with other work. Keep confirmed collection credit separate from travel and conversation steps.

If progress stalls

ForeverDB explicitly labels unobserved target drop sources, hand-in coordinates and chain requirements as Classic reference. Those positions are orientation aids and may differ in the Forever beta.
