FOREVER TAVERN QUEST GUIDE

Investigation/introduction stage; no Grell Earring collection yet.

Forever Tavern editorial · Updated October 12, 2026

Basis: Objective and counters recovered from Wowhead’s Forever edition, reviewed October 12, 2026. Contact positions have separate evidence labels; older imported comments are not current beta observations. Not independently playtested.

What the record establishes

Investigate the blue aura in Bashal'Aran and locate its source. Investigation/introduction stage; no Grell Earring collection yet.

Read the source record · Read the source record · Checked October 12, 2026.

Suggested approach

  1. Prepare the correct stage

Accept the investigation from Thundris in Auberdine. This is the introduction to Asterion, not the Grell Earring collection stage. Check the objective text before spending time killing sprites.

  2. Follow the named objective

Travel east to Bashal’Aran and look for the blue-lit shrine on the western side of the ruins. The Classic reference puts Asterion at 44.2, 36.3. Approach from an edge and avoid gathering extra enemies merely to investigate.

  3. Confirm credit and hand over

Speak to Asterion to finish the introduction, then read the next quest before leaving. The following same-name record uses eight Grell Earrings, so a quest title alone cannot identify your current stage.

Planning notes

Investigation/introduction stage; no Grell Earring collection yet. Match the stage by its objective and quest ID before combining this trip with other work. Keep confirmed collection credit separate from travel and conversation steps.

If progress stalls

ForeverDB explicitly labels unobserved target drop sources, hand-in coordinates and chain requirements as Classic reference. Those positions are orientation aids and may differ in the Forever beta.
