QUEST BRIEFING · REVIEWED OCTOBER 13

Prepare Heart of Disruption

Record #96984 · Horde · City of Dalaran. The recorded acceptance minimum is 24; the quest level 33 is a separate field.

October 13 evidence update

  • Horde quest 96984 follows Blood in the Streets and leads to Shrewd Negotiations; objective names Magus Wordeen Voidglare in Tarren Mill and Arcane Mote. Dalaran Sewer Key is an access-related starter record.Forever beta-client record · Supporting public source
  • Addon author version 0.3.13 reports Arcane Mote from Shade of the Archmage in Violet Citadel for both faction variants.October 9 addon-author release note · Supporting public source

Still unresolved: Horde handover has wording evidence, not our observed beta interaction. Mote source is an addon report.

Your objective checklist

Keep separate counters for the recorded objective. Mark a box only after the in-game log confirms that condition. Partial stacks, uncredited kills and the final handover are separate checks.

Same name, different record

Compare the ID and faction before following another version’s turn-in or rewards.

Plan this dungeon visit

Compare City of Dalaran equipment and acquisition evidence. Check the named objective before entering; a dungeon equipment association does not establish where a quest item drops.

Source limitation: Giver/turn-in may be inferred from quest wording, not an observed handover.

FOREVER TAVERN QUEST GUIDE

Heart of Disruption Horde: reach the reported mote source, then check Tarren Mill

Forever Tavern editorial · Updated October 13, 2026

Basis: Public Forever quest records and the individually attributed beta reports below, reviewed October 13, 2026. Suggested decisions are our editorial advice. Not independently playtested.

What the record establishes

The Horde variant follows Blood in the Streets and leads to Shrewd Negotiations. Its objective names Magus Wordeen Voidglare in Tarren Mill. Dungeon Quests Forever's October 9 release note reports that Arcane Mote comes from Shade of the Archmage, the final boss in the Violet Citadel, for both variants. The source does not establish an automatic-credit or guaranteed-drop rule.

Suggested approach

  1. Resolve Blood in the Streets before the run

Confirm Horde quest 96984 is active rather than relying on the shared title. Check the current chain and key instructions. Being able to enter through someone else's access does not demonstrate that your personal collection quest is accepted.

  2. State the reported final-boss goal

Explain that the addon-author report points to Shade of the Archmage for the mote. Arrange the intended length of the run while the party is still together. After the fight, inspect eligible loot and your own item requirement before assuming the kill completed it.

  3. Keep the Tarren Mill return in the plan

After collection credit, read your live objective and follow the Horde destination. Do not use the Alliance Silverpine beta-log handover as proof of this variant's return. Inspect the follow-up when the hand-in is accepted.

Planning notes

Access and quest progress can diverge in a group. One player may open a route while another lacks the preceding step. Identify whether you are missing acceptance, entry, the mote or the final return before choosing a fix. Once the mote is obtained, tell companions you need a Horde chain handover rather than another generic dungeon clear.

If progress stalls

Keep the source labels attached to each claim: the objective supplies the Tarren Mill recipient, while the addon author supplies the reported mote source. No exact loot probability or interior pin is verified here. If the current client offers a different handover, retain its wording and quest ID for a correction.
