FOREVER TAVERN QUEST GUIDE

Plan two wrecks and two lockboxes

Forever Tavern editorial · Updated October 12, 2026

Basis: Objective and counters recovered from Wowhead’s Forever edition, reviewed October 12, 2026. Contact positions have separate evidence labels; older imported comments are not current beta observations. Not independently playtested.

What the record establishes

Recover one lockbox from each wrecked ship north of Auberdine: Silver Dawning and Mist Veil. Deliver both to Gorbold Steelhand.

Suggested approach

Prepare the correct stage
Accept Gorbold's task and identify both ship names. Plan separate dives with breathing room instead of searching both wrecks during one long underwater trip.
Follow the named objective
Search one wreck for its named lockbox, then surface and check the item counter. Repeat for the second ship; two searches of the same vessel will not fill both objectives.
Confirm credit and hand over
Return with both lockboxes and compare the offered gloves before choosing a reward. Do not rely on old comments describing interaction through the hull or a required lockbox order.

Planning notes

This retrieval has two independent collection states. Surface between searches when needed, confirm which named box you obtained, and avoid following old hull-interaction shortcuts as though they were current beta mechanics.

If progress stalls

Check the missing ship name and live interaction state. Older comments disagree about box order and access through the hull; neither supplies a reliable beta workaround.
