FOREVER TAVERN QUEST GUIDE

Track two mushroom types through the cave

Forever Tavern editorial · Updated October 12, 2026

Basis: Objective and counters recovered from Wowhead’s Forever edition, reviewed October 12, 2026. Contact positions have separate evidence labels; older imported comments are not current beta observations. Not independently playtested.

What the record establishes

Gather five Scaber Stalks and one Death Cap from the cave behind Cliffspring Falls for Barithras Moonshade.

Read the source record · Checked October 12, 2026.

Suggested approach

  1. Prepare the correct stage

Check both mushroom counters and travel to the cave behind Cliffspring Falls. This is a cave-gathering task, separate from sampling the lower river waterfall.

  2. Follow the named objective

Collect Scaber Stalks while keeping a clear way back to the entrance. Search for Death Cap as a separate object; five stalks alone will leave the second requirement unfinished.

  3. Confirm credit and hand over

Leave once both counters are complete and take the mushrooms to Barithras. Recover health between pulls rather than assuming the cave is safe because the quest's minimum level is low.

Planning notes

A full stalk stack can make the expedition look finished while the single Death Cap remains missing. Keep both requirements visible and plan the return path while advancing, especially if nearby enemies begin to reappear.

If progress stalls

Read the remaining mushroom name rather than gathering more of the completed type. A suggested Classic cave circuit is not proof of current beta object locations. Older comments often recommend a right-hand cave route, but spawn locations and patrols are not independently confirmed for this beta.
