SHAMAN QUEST ROADMAP

A level-30 Shaman plan: from the note to the tempest.

Follow the faction-specific Elemental Aid chain, understand the October 8 totem changes, and prepare the later ritual without assuming every stage is soloable at 30.

Reaching 30 gives you a reason to plan your next class quest, not a promise that every later fight is ready for a solo character. Split this chain into training, a dungeon note, collection work and a ritual so you can arrange help at the right moment.

Where should a level-30 Shaman start?

Both public Elemental Aid records list minimum level 30, while their displayed quest level is 33. They require the Tattered Note associated with Charlga Razorflank in Razorfen Kraul. Neither lists an immediate weapon reward. Start with your faction's preceding training and active quest, then plan the note run.

Elemental Aid · Alliance   /   Elemental Aid · Horde

The two chains are not interchangeable

The Alliance final-quest series lists the five stages below. The accessible Horde series inserts Eyes on the Sky after Elemental Aid. A player also reports needing Call of Air first on Horde; that report is not a verified starter-NPC route for every character.

Alliance series

  1. Call of Air · #94789

Air Totem handover; compare the Veyric naming discrepancy before travelling. Public quest reference

  2. Elemental Aid · #96264

Charlga's Tattered Note in Razorfen Kraul; the source names an Arathi Highlands return. Elemental Aid

  3. Storm, Earth, and Fire · #79358

Next stage listed by the Alliance series. Read your own collection instructions; the fetched objective details below come from the Horde variant. Public quest reference

  4. Heed My Call · #96135

Confirm your live ritual instructions and recipient rather than borrowing the Horde handover. Public quest reference

  5. The Tempest's Weapons · #96016

The accessible final record sends the Eye to Bath'rah in Alterac Mountains. Public quest reference

Horde series

  1. Elemental Aid · #79360

Tattered Note; resolve the conflicting Rau / Bath’rah return text with your live log. Elemental Aid

  2. Eyes on the Sky · #79364

The narrow objective directs you to Prate Cloudseer in Thousand Needles. Public quest reference

  3. Storm, Earth, and Fire · #79361

Five each of Fire, Earth, Air and Water totems; use the provided tome. Public quest reference

  4. Heed My Call · #79366

Ritual and personal Eye of the Tempest check; current official notes say multi-drop. Public quest reference

  5. The Tempest's Weapons · #79442

Listed as the final stage. Direct reward text was unavailable in our source check; confirm your live choices. Public quest reference

What changed on October 8?

Official collection corrections to check against older guides
NeedCurrent official noteHow to use it
AirMaraudine Scouts now drop Twisted Air Totems.Include the added source when deciding your next collection stop.
EarthOngeku can drop a Twisted Earth Totem.Keep Earth credit separate from your other counters.
FireMurdaloc and Badlands Dustbelcher ogres are added sources.Compare current missing Fire credit with the stops your group can handle.
Collection paceFaster respawns and more frequent totem drops; larger Badlands camps have the stated respawn change.A small camp is not automatically covered by the larger-camp change.
RitualEye of the Tempest is now multi-drop.Older complaints about only one Shaman receiving it are not current instructions.

Make the RFK trip count

Before joining, say that your goal is the named boss and the required note, then check that Elemental Aid is active on your own character. After the encounter, inspect your item credit before the group disperses. This leaves time to identify a missing loot interaction rather than discovering it after the return journey.

Record the recipient in advance. The Alliance cache names Veyric Thunderhame in Arathi Highlands, while Call of Air uses Thundervein and a player comment uses Thunderhame. The Horde public completion sources disagree between Rau Cliffrunner and Bath'rah. Those conflicts are documented in the individual guides. Your live return instruction is the next useful check; an external summary is not a reason to abandon a completed task.

Plan collection by missing counter

The fetched Horde Storm, Earth, and Fire objective asks for five of each of four totem types. Think in four columns rather than a total of twenty. At the end of a stop, write which category remains short, then decide where to go next using current source notes and your group's readiness. Do not invent a Water location from the Fire changes.

Read the provided tome and your live instructions before committing to a cross-zone trip. A route that was useful for another faction, build or group may add travel without solving your missing counter. For later encounters, arrange assistance based on what your character can actually handle. Acceptance at the beta cap is not evidence of solo suitability.

Save your next-session checks

Use these ticks as a local preparation note. They do not certify game completion or unlock later stages.

Wait for the final reward decision

The accessible Alliance final record lists Lightning's Grasp, Tidebringer's Claw and Rage of the Storm as choices, with Elementalist's Guard also awarded. That is a final-stage reward decision, not loot from the first Elemental Aid hand-in. The Horde final reward text could not be checked directly, so confirm those choices in game rather than copying the Alliance list.

Compare the final tooltip with the slot you would replace. Check the role you actually play, the kind of benefit the item offers and any explicit equip restrictions. Item level describes the item; it is not by itself a required character level. Use the equipment search for available records and the Shaman talent calculator to keep your intended role visible while comparing.

If progress stalls, use the quest-state diagnostic to separate a missing offer, a missing item and a completed objective with no handover. Each calls for a different next step.
